Slumber Party

Adia invited two of her good friends to sleep over our house today. The truth is I'm kinda tired to entertain a bunch of 9 y.o girls as my day was a bit hectic today. But as usual, pity her... so I gave my permission. It's Friday tomorrow so I was hoping this would just be A O.K. Little did I know that these 3 girls can be very noisy! They were screaming and chatting and singing over Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga's songs. Hmmm.... They really are enjoying themselves. She told me just now that they want to sleep late so that they can chat. Nak sembang apa lagi? Kt school sembang tak habis-habis. Aiyoo! Really wish I could sleep well tonight and hopefully they would wake up late tomorrow so that I can at least have 2 to 3 hours for myself . Penatnya..:(

I watched MCR's Helena Videoclip ( I know, lagu dah lama..) the other day and never really paid attention to the clip or the singer. Something struck and I realised that the singer is not bad looking after all! Ha..ha.. Memang anak ikan but he's kinda cute! Just ignore the eyeliner tu ya!

Panaih!

cold drinks............heaven.....

What's with the weather nowadays? Panasnya... Not to complaint but it is very100 hot. I drink lots and lots of cold water which is not good for health at all but what the heck, panas sangat. Frankly, those cold drinks only cool you down just for a while and after that you'll get thirsty again and again.

Here I am at 8.30 p.m, sweating like tut! And I've just taken my bath a moment ago. Thinking of showering again before I sleep ya. Ya Allah, bagi la hujan.. Sejuk sikit..

p.s : We, humans, never get satisfied eh? Astafirrullahalazzim....

Should I?

It has been more than 11 years since I left UKM, and no doubt I had some great memories there with many great friends. And I have been a teacher for more than 10 years now. After teaching in 2 different schools, I am still going on strong ( InsyaAllah). A week before the semester break the kerani in my school gave me this great news from KPM. I have been promoted (time-based la) from DG41 to DG44. That really is a great news, sebab with the new salary (grade 44 ) we will get like RM500++ extra. Alhamdullilah.

And last week, during the first week of the holidays, I got an offer letter to do a Masters Degree in TESOL. Hmm....Tak tau la... Yes, I did apply for it but I didn't expect to get it. Accepting this offer means I would have to change my schedule. Some sacrifices are needed in order to go through this phase of life. It makes me wonder, am I strong enough to walk on water? Smart enough to coming out of the rain? I'm now going where the wind blows....

I'm actually scared to face this new life, scared to be a student again, making new friends, takut tak terkejar nanti with school work, family and classes. Hmmm I really really don't know. My heart says yes, half of my mind says yes too but the other half is saying, "kesian kt Adia, kesian kt Rizal, hidup dah ok, awat nak cari susah, you lead a comfortable life now bla..bla..bla.."

Susahnyaaa...... Well, should I ?

Bapak

His name is Haji Hassan B Othman. He's 84 years old. He is not feeling well now and only eats a small portion of food nowadays. He's getting weak day by day. The old age is really catching up on him.

He used to be a big and strong man, see, he was a farmer. Raising 14 children was not a problem for him and my mum. But, they struggled jugak financially. To raise 14 children was not an easy task to do, but I never heard them complaint.

Being the youngest in the family, I didn't really see the hurdles or obstacles that they faced. Everything was prepared for me, come to the extend where other siblings got envied. I know this, but what the heck? That, my friend, is the advantage of being the youngest ;)

Anyway, I owe him a lot! I can't afford to pay back what he had sacrificed for me. He's a friendly man who likes to chat but now he has became very quiet, and once a while would cry and becoming too emo. Well, that's my pak. He has a soft heart.

I know that everything is in Allah's hand but I'm praying very very hard, if it is the time for him to go, Ya Allah, Kau permudahkanlah segala-galanya. Janganlah Kau membuat dia menderita Ya Allah.

I know sooner or later our parents will have to go and that time, like it or not we will have to face it. Frankly, I'm prepared to face it. Pity him, my pak. I love him as much as I love my mak tapi we seldom show our love and affection to him. Balik2 selalu dengan mak and not once I heard him complaint anak tak tunjuk sayang kt dia. I really hope that he knows that we love him sooo much....

MAY

Adia's poem for my birthday, care to read between the line?

Came home and was greeted by this sign! Sweet kan?

I'm now officially 35 y.o!

Who is more excited?

Simple ja kek ni. I was a bit blurred with the number of candles, ingatkan baru 8 tahun ;)

I always love of the month of MAY. I was born on 12th May, Mother's Day is on the second Sunday of this particular month and teacher's day is on 16th of May. Isn't it great? Having 3 occasions in one whole month. And if I were a nurse, the Nurse's Day is on the 12th of May ;) (talking about greedy huh?)

I'm a Taurus and I came across this article about Taurus:Note: I bolded what I think is true 'bout me:

Taurus isn't necessarily like a Bull in a ring with a toreador. You could be more like peace-loving Ferdinand, seeking the gentle meadows filled with flowers, sunshine and natural beauty. It's only Taurus stubbornness that can make you angry enough to charge at someone who is disturbing your peace. Taurus are noted for your determination. You get to where you are going, not because you are exceptionally fast or clever, but because Taurus will not be distracted from your goals. Your need for stability and simplicity can motivate Taurus to create a life for yourself that is quite functional, though it might seem boring to someone else. But Taurus aren't interested in taking unnecessary risks that can put your solid footing in jeopardy. Taurus motto might be "Take care of the senses and everything else will take care of itself." It may be that your attraction to material things is less about the objects themselves than it is about the pleasure they bring to your senses. Comfortable living and working space is important to Taurus, along with nice linens, clothing, food and music. And, as one of the most practical signs, Taurus outlook on life is usually quite sensible. As Taurus plod along in life, getting what you need in order to survive, don't forget to look at the beauty that is beyond the material world of material possessions.

. Taurus Greatest Strength: Your sensible outlook on life Taurus Possible Weakness: Accepting less than you can achieve

We celebrated a 2 in 1 event recently, my bday and mother's day. Adia was so eager to have a "surprise" party for me but I knew about it beforehand and I just played along ;)

So last Sunday, I acted surprised when I came home from school, there was a small cake and kfc (no presents, I got mine in April). It was a small occasion as there's only 3 of us. But it's ok. I loved every moment of it. Enjoy the pics above ya.

Gundu!

I'm now 50kg! Now that I got your attention, do keep on reading. Haa..ha.. that is the truth my dear friends. 50 + 45 more = 95!!!! That is not fat. that's obese!

Let me tell you something, when I was in my teens and in uni, I was never a thin girl. But the heaviest I would go is 80kg. But I know my friends do accept me for what I am. It didn't really bother me at that time.

In 1998, I got engaged and I was at the peak of my weight, 80kg. It was not a very nice ceremony as I was "rendang" at that time. But deep in my heart I determined to shed some kilos before my wedding in 1999. So I had less than a year to do that. I wanted to be a beautiful bride.

Believe me, it was a painful painful process. But the determination was there and I didn't want to be a joke on my wedding day. Rizal is big but I didn't care coz I love him and it's ok coz he's a man(?!)

Diet? Makan sikit? I've tried all!

What I did was I exercise using skipping rope and cut down on my meal and it worked! On my wedding day, my weight was 56kg! This is a true story as you can see my picture above. Ohh... what a glory glory day it was!

But then, I got pregnant and as time passed by I let myself go......... I started to eat things I love to eat and there's no point or reason for me to lose weight. This was the biggest mistake ever. After giving birth to Adia, I didn't take cake of me. I let myself drifted away.......

This year marks the 10th year of my anniversary and also marks my 95kg! huaaa....

So my dear friends, the moral of the story is do not let youself go, I know we have families to take care but we ( I! ) need to put me first starting right now!

I will not aim for 50 or 55. I'm going for 65-70. Possible? Only time will tell. One thing for sure, I'm going to endure the same process again. Mak tolong!!!!
